Graphic Design, New Categories, etc.

I’m starting a social entrepreneur / volunteer thing and have a question: anyone know good (but inexpensive) graphic artists? I need a logo, colour scheme, … very very basic stuff.

I’ve checked out elance and a few other places, but they all charge more than I have.

Thought I’d ask here. The group is going to be completely volunteer and it’s going to do some very cool things; I’ll introduce you all to it in the coming weeks.

    Pixel Logo is my personal favorite stock logo service. You can buy a decent logo for less than 200 bucks. I’d imagine they’d make a custom logo for you too, but I’ve never tried it. The only thing is that you need to make sure you get an Exclusive Logo, because on some of them you get the copyright and on others they are able to sell the same logo to other people.

Stress that you won’t be earning any coin from it and you’re willing to throw link love (better than cash for many people anyway) and you’ll be set.

    I was thinking along the same lines as Anthony, but just a different website. If you don’t like what you get, try worth1000.com. They have ‘corporate contests’ that don’t put you back too much and still give you great results.
